NEVERMORE Pulls Out Of NEW ENGLAND METAL AND HARDCORE FESTIVAL

Seattle metallers NEVERMORE have announced that they will not be unable to perform at this year's New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, set to take place the weekend of April 25-27 at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. According to guitarist Jeff Loomis, the band has been unable to find a suitable replacement for guitarist Chris Broderick who recently left NEVERMORE's touring lineup to join MEGADETH and does not wish to perform as a four-piece. Loomis states, "We have tried to work as a four-piece band, but were unable to reach the real NEVERMORE sound, especially in a live setting, which is what our fans could expect from us. We really feel sorry about this, as we know that our fans were waiting to see us at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. We hope to see you all soon."

This year will mark the tenth anniversary of the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, the largest and most successful metal festival in the United States.

NEVERMORE has set "The Year Of The Voyager" as the title of its upcoming DVD, due this fall via Century Media Records. The disc will contain footage of the band's October 11, 2006 concert at the Zeche club in Bochum, Germany.

The concert was originally slated to take place September 12, 2006 but had to be rescheduled after NEVERMORE vocalist Warrel Dane came down with an infection.

NEVERMORE is currently working on material for the follow-up to 2005's "This Godless Endeavor", tentatively late 2008/early 2009 via Century Media Records.

NEVERMORE last year parted ways with guitarist Steve Smyth due to "personal and business differences."
